SMITH, ATHYLENE (CRAIGHEAD), 84, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, 2009.
She was a wonderful wife and mother, who dedicated her life to her family and friends.
She was a retired tutor at Sanders Elementary, a craftmaker, a member of TOPS, Homemakers and Shively Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Carline Smith (89); sons, David Smith, and Darrell Smith (Marcia); daughter, Darla Pomeroy, (Tom); grandchildren, Leighann Brown, Marshall Pomeroy and Dana, Kyle and Amanda Smith; great grandchildren, Andrew and Makayla; her brother, Clyde Craghead; and sister, Estolene Gott.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 3 8 p.m. Monday.
