William A. Pilkington, 50, of Putnam Pike, owner of Pilkington & Sons, died Monday, December 28, 2009 at home. He was the husband of Susan C. (Hawkins) Pilkington.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Eileen (DiGrado) Pilkington. He was a lifelong resident of Smithfield and a member of St.Philip Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children Ryan L., Patrick A., Derrick W., Meghan C., and Elizabeth A. Pilkington, all of Smithfield, his siblings, Daniel J. Pilkington of Bristol, Joseph A. Pilkington of Burrillville, Edith Pilkington of Providence, Jeanne P. Willard of Smithfield, Anne K. Colaluca of Glocester. He was the brother of the late Mary M. Kay and Michael Pilkington.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial private. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm in the Anderson Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
