ELINOR BALES “MISS ELLIE” DANDRIDGE

Elinor Bales “Miss Ellie” Dandridge, 78, of Adams Run, widow of Eugene Dandridge, died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Roper Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 3 o’clock at Adams Run Baptist Church, 8113 Hwy. 162, Adams Run. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Chapel Road, Hollywood. A visitation will be held at the church Monday evening, December 28, 2009, from 6 to 8 o’clock.

Mrs. Dandridge was born March 24, 1931 in Gibson, GA, daughter of the late Wyman Richard Bales and Florrie Johnson Bales. She graduated from St. Paul’s High School. She retired from Sea Island Clinic as a receptionist. She was a member of Adams Run Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter; Mary Adams of Adams Run, one son; Eugene “Danny” Dandridge of Adams Run, one granddaughter; Jennifer McGee of Adams Run, one grandson; Christopher McGee of Adams Run, one step grandson; Matthew Adams of Adams Run, two great grandchildren; Elisa Rosell of Adams Run and Cameron McCulloch of Adams Run, one sister Helen Trosclair of Jacksonville, NC and two brothers; Grady Bales of Walterboro and Floyd Bales of Century, FL. She was predeceased by a daughter; Margaret Ann Dandridge and one brother; Frankie Bales.
