LOWELL – Mr. Nicholas Gletzakos, 86, passed away Tuesday December 22 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was born December 19, 1923 in Lowell, Massachusetts a son of the late Pierro and Zaharoula (Scouzeas) Gletzakos.
A lifelong resident, Mr. Gletzakos was educated through the Lowell Schools. He worked at Wang Laboratories until his retirement.
Mr. Gletzakos was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Lowell and the Greek American Legion.
He is survived by his sister, Katina Gletzakos and her husband Peter of Lowell, a brother, George Gletzakos and his wife Georgia of Greece, two nieces, Stacy Daigle and her husband Albert Jr. of Dracut, Irene Martin and her husband John of Lowell; three cousins, Stella Manning of Lowell, John Gletzakos of Nebraska, and Stella Foskey of Chelmsford.
Mr. Gletzakos was pre-deceased by his brothers, John Gletzakos and Panagiotis “Taki” Gletzakos.
ARRANGEMENTS- Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Monday from 5 to 8pm. His funeral will take place from the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 9am with a funeral service to be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell at 10am. Interment to follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Hellenic American School, 45 Broadway St, Lowell, Ma. 01854.
