Obituary

Mr. James V. DiRocco, age 82 of Somerville died Thursday at his home. He was born in Somerville, son of the late Angelo and Rose (Piemonte) DiRocco. He joined the Army at the age of 18 and fought during WWII.
Mr. DiRocco worked for the former Boston Edison Electric Company for over 42 years. Mr. DiRocco was a bodybuilder during most of his life and always kept himself in great shape. He was a friend to all and spent a great deal of time at “Vinny’s” on Broadway. He will be remembered as the “Best Dad In The World” to his children and he will be sadly missed. He is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Ann DiRocco of East Boston and Debra DiRocco of Las Vegas, two sons: Jim DiRocco and John DiRocco both of Las Vegas. Loving grandfather of Brooklyn and Tiffany, great grandfather of Kalayah and Madison. Brother of Joe DiRocco of Chatham, Bob DiRocco of AZ. Brother of the late Mary DiRocco. At the request of the family visiting hours and services have been omitted. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
