Obituary

LOWELL: Ms. Shirley M. Paquette, age 72, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away on Saturday December 26, 2009 at her home in Lowell.
She was born in Lowell on September 1, 1937, daughter of the late Walter J. & Marion M. (Hamel) Paquette.
She was a communicant of St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish at St. Therese Church in Dracut.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cook at Bard in Tewksbury. She had previously worked at the Cameo Diner in Lowell and Woolworth's.
According to the family, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, darts and bowling.
She is survived by a son, Randy Copley of Lowell; two daughters: Marlene Billingsley of Lowell and Joy Copley of Lowell; a brother and sister-in-law, Roland & Louise Paquette of Lowell; a sister, Phyllis Trudel of Dracut; 4 grandchildren, George, Samantha, Cassandra and Christopher; also several nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was also the mother of the late Scott Copley, and sister of the late Walter J. Paquette and Marion Morin and sister-in-law of the late Robert Morin.
SERVICES: Relatives & Friends are invited to her visitation on Monday Dec. 28, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, MA 01854. Funeral Tuesday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:00 AM at St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish (St. Therese Church), Lakeview Ave., Dracut.
