Mary L. (Nicoll) Hill, 82, of Norton formerly of Weston and East Dennis passed away on Thursday December 24, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Clarence W. Hill.
Born in Boston, MA on July 12, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Charles Nicoll and Helen (Fraser) Schmitzer.
Mary grew up and was educated in Melrose and earned the honor of graduating class Valedictorian in her senior year at Melrose High School. She furthered her studies to become a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
A dedicated homemaker, she was very much family oriented and cherished the times spent with her devoted grandchildren. She had made her home in Norton for the past 8 years and was formerly of Weston and East Dennis.
In addition to her beloved husband of 58 years she is survived by her dear children Leslie E. Hill of Franklin, Nancy J. Rooney and her husband J. Kevin of Ballston Spa, New York and Robert D. Hill, Sr. and his wife Diana of Niskayuna, New York. Mary is also survived by her adoring grandchildren Robert D. Hill, Jr., David N. Hill, Douglas J. Rooney, Elena M. Rooney and Matthew W. Hill.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday December 29th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
