Obituary

Norman C. Marshall, left this world to be with his Heavenly Father 12 days short of his 97th birthday.

Norman was born in Louisville on January 4, 1913 to Elizabeth and Henry Marshall.

Norman was an avid Ham Radio operator for 65 years and a member of the American Radio Relay League. His call letters were W4SYM. He had retired from Standard Oil/Chevron after 35 years and had also worked part-time for Kroger for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Mae Marshall; his precious wife of 65 years, Hilda Pscheidt Marshall; and his beloved dog, Bracken.

He leaves behind his devoted son and daughter, James L. Marshall (Shana) and Jennifer Marshall M.D. (Michael Battaglia) of Farmington, NM; grandchildren, Michael Thomas Marshall and Amanda Kay Edlin; great-grandson, Dakota Daniel Edlin. He is also survived by a special friend, Jennie Dison; and other dear friends, Joseph Fuchs, Sonia Thompson, Gari Thompson and Phil Zavagli.

Funeral services will be noon Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-6 pm Sunday and from 10 am Monday to the time of service.
