Mary Palermo, 99, passed away at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford on December 22nd, 2009. She was born in Italy on December 9th, 1910 to her parents Rocco and Mary Mazza. Mary has been a resident of Malden for most of her life. For over forty years she was employed as a factory worker at the Converse Rubber Company in Malden. She was also an active member at the former St. Peters Parish in Malden. She is survived by her children, Shirley DiMare and her husband Sal of Ipswich and Lorraine Radosta and her husband Peter of Woburn; by her grandchildren Lori, Julie, Carla, Rachael and Pamela; and by her great grandchildren Jamie, Jessie, Lucas, Alicia, Nicole, Heidi, Joseph, Paul, David and Peter. Along with her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband Louis Palermo and by her sisters Angela Guerrieo and Eleanor and Rose Puleo. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Thursday December 24th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church Chapel, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday December 23rd from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
