Joseph J. “Joe” Bazzinotti, 87 of Medford died Tuesday after a long illness in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, Medford, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford for the past 59 years and formerly of South Boston. Joseph was the son of the late Albina (Capoletti) and Anthony Bazzinotti. He was a Service Man with the Boston Gas Company for 40 years and retired 26 years ago. Joe served during World War II and the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the St. Clement Church Holy Name Society.
Beloved husband of the late Mary (Silvestro) Bazzinotti. Devoted father of Joanne Sauro of Medford and the late Marie Nicholaides. Loving grandfather Stephen, Andrew and Stephanie. Brother of Louis and Ernest Bazzinotti both of Dorchester, Anna Massa of Winthrop, Margaret Green of Peabody, William Bazzinotti of South Boston, Anthony Bazzinotti of Wilmington, and the late John Bazzinotti, Mary McHugh, Jean Corcoran and Rita O’Dell.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
