Jesup- Mrs. Lucille K. Sears, age 83, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009 at her residence. She was a native of Bibb County, living in Jesup the past 44 years and a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Clifford Sears; sister: Mary Lee Paul; and brother: Richard Kitchens.
Surviving is one daughter: Mary Nell Sears Kesler and husband Tony of Jesup; three grandchildren: Melissa Pellum, Chris Green and husband Norman; and Carl Pellum Jr. all of Macclenny, FL.; seven great-grandchildren: Michael Varnum, Corey Varnum, Alex Pellum, Jacob May, Matthew Green, Shayna Green, and Alyssia Pellum, all of Macclenny, FL.; five great-great grandchildren: Cadence Lee Varnum, Cyler Varnum, Kynan Varnum, Ryan Pellum, and Teagan Green, all of Macclenny, Fl.; two step-granddaughters: Jackie Rhodes of Valrico, Fl. and Carliss Taylor of Jacksonville, Fl.; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 1:00 pm from the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Charles Manning officiating.
Interment will follow in the Jesup City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
