Karen Ann Lacasse, 50, of Londonderry, NH died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at her home following a lengthy and courageous battle with brain cancer. Mrs. Lacasse was born in Meriden, CT on March 16, 1959 , a daughter of Warren and Theresa (Lukman) Wusterbarth. She grew up in Meriden, CT and graduated from the University of CT - Storrs with a BS in Pharmacy. She also received an MBA in business administration from UMass Lowell. She worked as a pharmacist for 27 years. Mrs. Lacasse was a resident of Londonderry for the last 20 years and was an active member of St. Jude Parish. She loved playing the piano, playing tennis and actively raising their two daughters.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, David C. Lacasse of Londonderry, two daughters, Katie Lacasse and Valerie Lacasse, both of Londonderry, her mother, Theresa Wusterbarth of Wallingford, Ct and a sister, Laura Copeland of Wallingford, CT. She was predeceased by her father, Warren Wusterbarth, and her brother, Kurt Wusterbarth.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 4-8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 9:00am Thursday in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Private burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Food Pantry, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH 03053.
