Obituary

Ruth L. (Flanagan) Bryson, 84, a 50-year resident of Winchester, passed away at home on Dec. 20th. Born and raised in Pittston, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Kathleen (McDonald) Flanagan. She was educated in Pittston and after marrying, came to Winchester and started a family. In Winchester, she and her husband were the former owners of the Dairy Maid on Cambridge St. she was also employed for several years in the payroll department at Raytheon. Ruth was a dedicated communicant of St. Eulalia’s Parish in Winchester and was treasured by her extended family. She was the beloved wife of the late John W. Bryson and the dear sister of George E. Flanagan of Medway and the late James, Joseph and Jean Flanagan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Wed. Dec. 23rd at 11:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester at 12noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wed. from 10-11:30AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. In lieu of flowers donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to Boston Catholic Television P.O. Box 9196 Watertown, MA 02471-9196.
