ROBERTSON, CHARLES T., 87, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009, surrounded by his three "Charlie's Angels," daughters, Sue, Barb and Cathy.
Charlie retired from American Bakeries, was a member of Millcreek VFW and an official member of the American Legion.
Charlie was also a Navy veteran who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor and two ships that were sunk in the Pacific Ocean during World War II.
He is survived by the love of his life, Dorothy. Their marriage lasted for 67 years and he had loved her since the fourth grade.
Other survivors include his three daughters, Sue Murphy (Leo), Barb Pittman (Ed) and Cathy Boyer (David); sisters, "Aunt Sissy May" Cook (Leo), Darlene Davis (Howard) and "Uncle Rusty" Robertson (Mary); grandchildren, Susan Moore (Ken), Tim Murphy (Michelle), Melani Bailey (Richard), Michael Murphy (Shannon), Scott Thornberry, Amy Mejia (Ron), Cara Aldridge (Chad), Leo Murphy III (Dreama), Sherling Brignac (Chris), Chrystal White (Tim), Karen Boyer and David Ray Boyer; 18 great two great-great grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Ty and Kayla, as well as the staff of University of Louisville Hospital Stroke Unit.
Charlie's service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
Visitation will be Monday 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
