Obituary

Lawrence, MA- Delia M. (Demers) Bouchard, 90, died peacefully Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center surrounded by the ones she loved.
Born in Canada on November 26, 1919, Delia was the daughter of Charles and Pamela (Jalbert) Demers. She attended schools in the Lawrence area. Delia is the last survivor of 6 children.

She was the beloved wife of Theophane Bouchard and together they started a family in Lawrence. Delia raised and cared for 13 children, devoting her life to them. They were her greatest joy and her love spread down to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and was very generous in her giving. Besides spending time with her family, whom she loved more than anything; Delia enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing Bingo.
The widow of the late Theophane “Joe” Bouchard, Delia will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her 3 sons, Arthur Bouchard of Hallendale, FL, Maurice Bouchard and his wife Cecile of Methuen, Michael Bouchard and his wife Susan of Salem, NH, 9 daughters, Lucille Hogan of Lawrence, Elaine Bouchard of Haverhill, Dolores Morse and her husband Robert of Hampstead, NH, Rosemarie Descoteaux and her husband Ronald of Lawrence, Lorraine Armano and her husband John of North Andover, Evelyn Bouchard of Methuen, Cecile Dube and her husband Dennis of Methuen, Pamela Lacroix and her husband Richard of Sandown, NH and Donna Guilmette and her husband Bert of Methuen, as well as 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also pre-deceased by her son Roland J. Bouchard and her son-in-law Thomas J. Hogan.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009 from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence, St., Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 9:00AM at St. Patrick’s Church in Lawrence, followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover. As an expression of sympathy those who wish may make memorial donations to the Joslin Diabetes Center One Joslin Place Boston, MA 02215 or to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
