Obituary

Eva Langevin 97, of 1100 Norman Eskridge Hwy, Seaford, DE died Wednesday in the Genesis Health Care Center. Mrs. Langevin resided in Woonsocket for most of her life before moving to Delaware . She was the wife of the late Arthur Langevin. Mrs. Langevin was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Bolduc) Plante. She worked as a spinner in several area woolen mills in her youth. Along with her husband, they owned and operated the Woonsocket Painting Co. for many years. Mrs. Langevin served as President of the American Legion Auxilary, Belhumeur- Duhamel Post # 62 from 1944-1945.

She is survived by two sons Roger A. Langevin of Wyoming, and Walter Ray Langevin of Delaware, eight grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Rachel Forest, grandmother of the late Robert Forest and sister of the late Adelard, Wilfred, Henri, and Omer Plante.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave, Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Precious Blood Cemetery in Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place , Memphis TN 38105-1942 or the American Legion Post #62, Arnold St. Woonsocket, RI 02895 in her memory would be appreciated.
