Anne L. (Farley) Lopez, age 85, lifelong resident of Winchester, passed away Dec. 19th at Winchester Hospital. The daughter of the late Thomas and Anne (Sheridan) Farley, Anne attended Winchester public schools and was a graduate of Winchester High School. After high school, she earned a degree in nursing from Mass. Memorial Hospital (now a part of BU). Anne was employed as a registered nurse in Winchester for Dr. McDonough and Dr. O’Grady. She was a member of the Mother Cabrini Guild of Catholic Nurses, and the Mass. Memorial Hospital Nurses Alumni Assoc. In her spare time, she enjoyed membership in the Irish-American Club of Billerica. Anne traveled to Ireland numerous times and treasured her Irish roots. She liked playing the piano, sewing, knitting, singing and specifically enjoyed Irish music, especially Andy Cooney and Paddy Noonan. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry V. Lopez and the loving mother of Karen Lopez Dunlop of Winchester and Diane Lopez Brown of New Ipswich. Anne was also the dear sister of Margaret Keefe of Medford and the late Thomas, James, John and Francis Farley, and the devoted grandmother of Melanie Anne Rosenfield, Steven Lee Dunlop II, Jeremy Lee Dunlop and Kara Anne Dunleavy. A great-grandson Jeremy Lee Dunlop II further survives her. Her funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St. Winchester on Wed., Dec. 23 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Eulalia’s Church 50 Ridge St. Winchester at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Tues. 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made to Susan G.
