Obituary

WORCESTER – Mr. Angelo Capozzo,”Uncle Honey” , 88, passed away Friday December 18 at the Westborough Healthcare Center.

Angelo is survived by his wife of sixty -three years, Mrs. Carmella(Giangregorio) Capozzo of Worcester, a sister in law, Margie Capozzo of Worcester, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Angelo was pre-deceased by his siblings, Anthony Capozzo, Mary Giordano, Katherine Riemen, Anthony Mancuso, and Charles Mancuso.

He was born July 21, 1921 in Worcester, Massachusetts a son of the late Nicholas and Josephine(Cantanzaro) Capozzo.

A lifelong resident, Mr Capozzo was a graduate of Commerce High School. He joined the Navy and served his country during World War II. Following his honorable discharge Mr. Capozzo was in the Naval Reserve for over thirty years based out of the So. Weymouth Naval Base. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer.

Mr. Capozzo worked for over thirty-five years at the Henry L. Hanson Co. in Worcester as a machinist, following his retirement from Hanson he worked many additional years at Jamesbury Corporation in Worcester.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday December 22 from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME 9 Branch St Worcester, to be followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church at 11am. Interment will take place in St John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday from 5pm to 8pm.
