Obituary

Richmond H. "Frosty" Frost, 77, of Mattapoisett and Brewster died Saturday Septemebr 13, 2003 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Milton H. and Marjorie A. (Nichols) Frost.

Born in Fairhaven, he lived in Fairhaven and Mattapoisett for many years. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Brewster.

Mr. Frost was formerly employed as a marine electronics technician for Hawes Electric, Northeast Marine Electronics, and Chris Electronics until his retirement. He was licensed as a Master Technician for radio and television by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Mr. Frost served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 20 years until retiring as a Staff Sergeant in 1986. He was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School.

Survivors include a sister, Sylvia A. Gaucher of Fairhaven; a brother, Jerome P. Frost and his wife Karen of Quito, Equador; his close friends who were his extended family, Tony Vieira of Mattapoisett and Doreen Vieira of New Bedford and their children, Amy, Mark, and Cynthia; a niece, Jane Boynton and her husband Richard ; and 3 nephews, Peter Gaucher, David Frost, and Robert Frost.He was the uncle of the late Ann E. Speer.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 17, 2003 at 10 AM in the Christian Fellowship Center, 818 Church St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday September 16, 2003 from 5-9 PM.
