Robert W. Rollins, a 20 year resident of Wakefield, died on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at his home in Wakefield following a brief battle with cancer. He was 70 years old.
Bob was born in Peabody on November 1, 1939. He grew up in Peabody where he attended Peabody Public Schools and graduated from Peabody High School. Bob served his country in the United States Army. Bob worked as an engineer, sub-contracting himself to several manufacturing companies in the area for many years. He was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks.
Bob is the beloved husband of Kathleen T. (Stanton-Connors) Rollins. He is the devoted step-father of Kristi Taylor and her husband William of Reading and Kerri Brophy and her husband Donald of Melrose. He is the loving Bob to Connor and Kiera.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Bob on Monday December 21, 2009 from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by his Funeral Service at 6 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Wakefield/Melrose line. Cremation will take place on Tuesday.
