Duffy, John J. Jr., of Hyde Park, formerly of Brookline, December 19, 2009, age 87, after a brief illness. Member of the Brookline Fire Department for over 30 years. His positions included acting chief of the Department. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Berube). Devoted father of Barbara Dunn, Deborah Clark, Susan Duffy and Ellen Duffy. Loving father-in-law of Robert Dunn. Loving brother of Helen Rose, Rev. George A. Duffy, S.J., and the late Thomas V. Duffy.
Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Wednesday December 23, at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 3 Linden Place Brookline at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
