David Lewis Rippetoe, 86, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009.
Born in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late James and Mabel Rippetoe. He had retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service and while serving he received a Purple Heart during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his beloved wife,Margie Logan Rippetoe; children, Mary Anne Bowles (Melvin) and Peggy Oldom; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
Visitation will be 3-8 pm Sunday and 9-10 am Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
