Ann Marie (Lieberum) Crandall passed away on Friday, December 18. She was 65 years old.
She was a music lover who found decades of happiness in singing with her church choir, the Mystic River Chorale, and caroling during the holidays. She dedicated her career to teaching, nurturing, and empowering generations of children in Gales Ferry and Groton schools, who often greeted her during chance encounters with fond memories of how she remained important to them. But the most meaningful thing to her was her friends and family, who she wisely told often how much she loved them. She was known to say during holiday and birthday gatherings that the best gift she got was the home full of people she loved.
She was deeply proud of her husband Ernest, sons Keith and Jeffrey, daughter Leslie (deceased), their extended families and her grandchildren who will remember her for her generosity, thoughtfulness, and love.
A service will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd at The United Methodist Church, 10 Chapman Lane in Gales Ferry, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The United Methodist Church of Gales Ferry where it will be used to support the music program she was so fond of.
