Sylvan “Moe” Levy, 97 of Salem, NH died Thurs. Dec. 17th at Baker-Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill, MA.
Moe was born and educated in New York. He served his country in Japan in the US Army during WW II. Moe loved to sing and was a member of the Salem Senior Singers. He enjoyed volunteering and volunteered many places including the Veterans Association and the Holy Family Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years: Victoria (Gillotti) Levy of Salem, NH
Daughter: Carol & her husband Alan Spickler of Salem, NH
Sister: Georgette Heinisch of the Bronx, NY
3 Grandchildren: Kristine Leblanc, Erika Henry, and Jennifer Beachley-Levesque
Great Grandson: Jacob Leblanc
Memorial Visitation will be held be held Tuesday, Dec. 22nd from 1:00 – 1:30 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Memorial Services will follow at 1:30 PM. Urn burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
The family requests that no flowers be sent. Those attending Moe’s services may bring a canned food item that will be donated to a local food pantry.
