Obituary

Danvers: Raymond L. Poussard, age 52 of Danvers, died Tuesday evening, December 15, 2009, at home following a long illness.

Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Arthur L. and Elizabeth M. (Bouchard) Poussard. He was a graduate of Ste. Anne Grammar School and Salem High School. At the age 10, Ray survived a long battle with acute nephritis that necessitated a 5 year recuperation period that included extensive physical rehabilitation. Over the years he worked for several companies, the last of which was Saucony of Peabody. Ray was a kind and caring family man who loved working with computers. He was currently a member of St. Richard Parish of Danvers.

He is survived by his devoted aunt, Lillian T. Bouchard of Danvers, 6 brothers, Arthur Poussard and his wife Irene, Bertram and his wife Carol, Robert and his wife Phyllis, all of Salem, Henry and his wife Jacqueline of Danvers, Richard and his wife Cheryl of Hampstead, NH, Paul and his wife Cathleen of Saugus, a sister, Anne Danjou and her husband Paul of Salem, 22 nieces and 21 grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 2 aunts, Rita Andruskiewicz and Theresa Baxter.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. to be followed by his funeral mass in St. Richard Church, Forest St., Danvers at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours: Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
