WORCESTER-Christine M. (Naum) Petrides, 76, of Worcester died Wednesday, December 16th in Holy Trinity Nursing Home. Her husband, Victor Petrides died in 2008. She leaves four sons, Stephen Petrides, Paul Petrides, Michael Petrides and his wife, Maureen all of Worcester, David Petrides and his wife, Margie of Milford; two daughters, Maryann Ettis and her husband, Gene of Worcester and Deborah O’Neill and her husband, Brendan of Los Angeles, CA; a brother, Andrew and his wife Lauri Naum of Union, ME; six grandchildren, Michael and Phillip and David Petrides, Christopher, Tara and Alexandra Ettis; five great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Alvin Naum and two sisters, Dorothy Minka and Evelyn Naum predeceased her.
She was born in Boston, the daughter of Vaskar and Olga (Pashko) Naum; and grew up in Rockland, ME. Mrs. Petrides last worked for Unum Provident Insurance, and had also worked for several area banks. She was a long time volunteer with the former Peter Pan Players Children’s Theater Group; and a former member of St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, and the Daughters of St. Mary. Her greatest joy and passion was time spent with her family.
The funeral is Monday, December 21stin St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street with a service at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, December 20th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester.
