Carmella E. Ste. Croix, 84, of 25 Union Avenue died January 15, 2002 in the Lakes Region General Hospital. She was born in Berlin, NH on June 15, 1917, the daughter of William and Marie Louise (Jobin) Ste. Croix. Raised in Gorham, NH, she has been a resident of Laconia since 1952.
She served as a housekeeper for the late Rev. Joseph E. Vachon for many years. She was a volunteer in the Friends Foster Grandparents Program for 18 years.
Carmella was a communicant of Sacred Heart parish.
Family members include three sisters, Annette Hamel of Berlin, Rita Dugas and Claire St. Onge, both of Gorham; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours will be in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. Friday from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue Saturday at 1 PM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Kieran Cemetery, Berlin on Monday.
