Obituary

Rosalie (Ferrera) Lino, of Medford, died Monday at Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center. She was 84.

Rolsalie was born and raised in East Boston, the daughter of the late Pasquale and the late Josephine (Andolino) Ferrera. A Medford resident for her adult life, Rosalie worked as a sticher at the former Meltzers Sports Wear in Medford and was a member of the Santa Maria Lodge of the Sons of Italy. Most of all Rosalie was devoted to her family and enjoyed the company of her relatives and friends.


She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Lino. She was a devoted mother to John Lino and his wife Barbara of Tewksbury, Deborah Gaglione and her husband Jerry of Medford, Joseph Lino of Saugus. She was a dear mother-in-law of Frances Lino of Malden. She was a loving grandmother to Melissa and her husband Mike, John Jr and his fiancée Heather, Michael, Jessica and her fiancé Richard, Nicole and her fiancé Antonio and Jerry. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Olivia. She was the sister of the late John and Patrick Ferrara and Lillian Caruso-Mossalli.

Rosalie’s funeral procession will gather at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Rosalie’s name to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
