CHRISTENSEN - Robert Charles Christensen (aka. Robbie, Chris), 53, passed away December 15, 2009. He was a native of Portsmouth, VA and moved to Fernandina Beach, FL 15 years ago. He also previously resided in Atlanta, GA, Ocala and Melbourne, FL and the Florida Keys. Mr. Christensen served with the U. S. Army Special Forces for four years. He loved the outdoors, gardening, camping, sailing, and was an avid fisherman. He loved his son, Noah, more than anything in life. Chris worked throughout his career as a special technician, construction and special effects in the motion picture industry. He also built and stocked large aquariums in his early career in Ocala, FL traveling throughout Florida to gather rare and exotic fish. Survivors include his son, Noah Star (Christensen) Sanford of Fernandina Beach, FL; parents, Carol A. and Charles T. Christensen of Atlanta, GA; two brothers and sisters in law, Gregg and Julie Christensen of Sacramento, CA and Richard and Heidi Christensen of Hobe Sound, FL; a sister and brother in law, Susan and Dennis Cook of Marietta, GA; and the mother of his child, Julie Sanford of Fernandina Beach, FL.
