Catherine E. (Landry) Reed, 56, of Dartmouth died December 14, 2009 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was the beloved wife of Robert B. Reed with whom she shared 38 years of marriage.
Born in Gloucester, MA the daughter of the late Edna M. (Devlin) Martin, Dale Martin and Maurice F. Landry, she was raised in New Bedford and lived in Dartmouth for the last 38 years.
Catherine was formerly employed as a personal care provider for many years until her retirement.
She was an active member of the Dartmouth Bible Church.
Catherine enjoyed knitting, cooking and spending time with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Survivors include her beloved husband; a child, Bobby Reed of Providence; a brother, Stephen Landry of Pittsburgh, PA; 3 sisters, Linda Hopps and Denise Johansen, both of South Dartmouth and Beth Fosberry of Gloucester; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 19th at 10 AM in the Dartmouth Bible Church, 52 Morton Ave., Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
