Methuen, Ma. – Florence (Langlois) Dube, 95, died Monday December 14, 2009 surrounded by her loving family at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Florence was born in Methuen the daughter of Ernest and Rosanna (Berube) Langlois.
She had been employed for 25 years as a foster mother for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before her retirement.
Mrs. Dube was a longtime communicant of Corpus Christi/Holy Rosary Church of Lawrence, the Legion of Mary, and loved bingo.
During the summer months Mrs. Dube loved spending time with her family at the local beaches.
The widow of Aime Dube survivors include one daughter Dolores and her husband John Lozowski of Methuen, one sister Marcelle Roy of Bedford, NH, 7 grandchildren; Ronald and wife RuthAnn of Lawrence, Timothy and Yasmin of Methuen, Matthew also of Methuen, Capt. John Lozowski of the Salem, NH,Police Dept. and his wife Stacy, Chris and wife Erin of Salem, NH, Aimee and husband Robert Aliberti of Derry, NH, and Michael and Julie Lozowski of Methuen. A daughter-inlaw Frances R. Dube of Lawrence, and 16 greatgrandchildren .
Florence was predeceased by her son Ronald P. Dube, her sister Marie Lefebvre, Fernand Proulx, Rita Guilmette, brothers George, Camille, and Albert Langlois.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday at 1 P.M. in Corpus Christi/ Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery Methuen.
Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
