Lillian F. (Curran) Batchelder of West Roxbury, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on December 14, 2009. She was 79 years old.
As a resident of Dorchester for over 40 years, Lillian and her late husband of over 50 years, Walter Douglas Batchelder, were devout Catholics. Lillian's childhood parish was Mission Church and she remained devoted to her Church for much of her life. Lillian was a vital member of Edelweiss Village in West Roxbury since moving there in 2007. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor.
Lillian was the dear and devoted wife of the late W. Douglas Batchelder. Mother of Laurel Whalen of Waltham, Stephen Batchelder and his wife Karen of Saugus, and the late Robert Batchelder. Loving grandmother of John Whalen of Dedham, and Ryan and Robert Batchelder of AZ.
Lillian's Funeral Service was held at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY Thursday, December 17, 2009.
