Beverly G. (Monroe) Peterson, 90, of Whitman, died Sunday December 13th after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of Stanley H. Peterson. She was the daughter of the late Edgar C. and Beatrice (Stanley) Monroe.
Beverly was born and brought up in Whitman, a graduate of Whitman High School, class of 1937.
She was a lifelong resident of Whitman. Beverly was a piano teacher for over 50 years. She was a very dedicated musician and played at many weddings and local events
Beverly was a member of the United Methodist Church of Whitman, where she was the organist for 50 years; she also played the organ in the United Methodist Church in Bryantville and she was also a member of the Pilgrim Chapter, Eastern Star.
Beverly enjoyed traveling the USA and over seas.
In addition to her husband Stanley, she is survived by her children, Norman S. Peterson of New Jersey, John M Peterson of Foxboro and Gail J. MacAuslan of Brockton: also 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Janice Richmond.
Her services will be held on Thursday December 17th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Visitation will be on Wednesday December 16th from 4:00-8:00.Donations may be made in her name to the United Methodist Church 503 South Ave, Whitman, MA. 02382 or to the Charity of One’s Choice
