Richard Sicard, 76, of Westport died Saturday, December 12, 2009. He was the loving husband of Georgette (St. Michel) Sicard and son of the late Ludger and Clara (Letendre) Sicard.
In addition to his wife of fifty-six years, Richard leaves behind his son, Rev. Kenneth Sicard, O.P. of Providence College; 2 daughters: Michele Cain and companion Richard Beaudry and Karen Newton and husband Fred, all of Westport, MA; 3 granddaughters Ashley Cain, Kelsey and Kailyn Newton all of Westport, MA. Richard also leaves behind his 3 brothers-in-law, Gerald St. Michel and wife Colette of Somerset, MA; Roy Gillette of Fall River, MA; and Leo St. Pierre of Berkley, MA. Richard was the brother of the late Doris St. Pierre, Lorraine Gillette, Pauline Dufault and Robert Sicard.
Funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 8:30 A.M. from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Notre Dame Church, 529 Eastern Avenue, Fall River, MA at 10:00 A.M.
Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-8 P.M.
