Mario Lo Re, of Revere, formerly of Medford and Stoneham died Saturday at Aberjona Nursing Center, Winchester. He was 86.
Mr. Lo Re was born in Boston, the son of the late Salvatore and the late Maria (Peri) Lo Re. A Medford resident for many years, Mario lived also in Revere and Stoneham. After service in the US Army at the end of World War II, Mario worked for many years with the US Post Office at South Postal Annex. He was devoted to his family, especially to his many nieces and nephews.
He was the beloved husband of the late Lena (Puorro) Lo Re. He was a devoted brother to Alfred Lo Re of Braintree, Anthony Lo Re of North Reading and the late Sarah Tosti. He was a loving uncle to Anthony Lo Re, Jr. of North Reading, Karen Lo Re of Tewksbury, Michelle Miller of Lawrence, Nancy Lo Re of Rockland, Janet Crowley of Bridgewater, Gregory Lo Re of Maryville, TN, Steven Lo Re of Park City, UT, Robert Lo Re of Canton. Mario also leaves many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
