George E. Ross Jr., of White Horse Beach (Plymouth) formerly of Winchester, December 12th. Loving and devoted husband of 67 years to Helen Dorothy Collins Ross of White Horse Beach formerly of Winchester; loving and dedicated father to George William Ross of Claremont, NH; Paul Karen Ross of White Horse Beach, William Arthur Houle of Ellijay, GA; Dennis Michael Ross of Plymouth, Marilyn Diane Ross of Plymouth and John Patrick Ross of Winchester. Loving and committed father-in-law to Katie Ross of Claremont, NH and Jennifer Houle of Ellijay, GA. Loving son of the late George and Eulalia Cardoza Ross and loving and dedicated brother to his late sister, Edna Ross Hawe, formerly of Everett. Loving and faithful grandfather to Destry Ross Bardis of Langdon, NH; Sean Ross and Alexis Hardwick Ross of Key Largo, FL; Ross Addison Stacy of Portland, OR; Jonathon Houle of Marietta, GA; Christopher Stacy of Plymouth and Julia Ross and Sophia Ross of Winchester. George Edgar Ross Jr. was raised in Revere and attended Revere High School where he was one of their star basketball athletes. Mr. Ross later attended Northeastern University where he studied Economics. He met Helen Dorothy Collins when he was fifteen years old and they married 7 years later. Mr. Ross served in World War II as a machinist for the U.S Navy after which he and his wife, Helen, settled in Winchester where they raised their six children. Mr. Ross was active in the Winchester community as a little league baseball coach and served at St. Mary’s Church as the President of the Holy Name Society, a second order Knight of Columbus, a head usher, as well as sang in the men’s choir. He was employed at Hood’s Milk for 35 years when he retired. In 1990, Mr. Ross and his wife, Helen, moved to their summer home on White Horse Beach to enjoy their retirement years during which they traveled throughout Europe, Mexico, and Africa. Mr. Ross will be dearly missed by all who loved him and who know that they are blessed for having had him in their lives. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bonaventure’s Church, 799 State Rd, Plymouth on Wednesday, December 16th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday, December 15th from 4 to 7 PM.
