Obituary

Elizabeth (Simarrian) Roberts 88, a Franklin resident for over 60 years, died Thursday December 10, 2009 at Milford Care & rehabilitation Center.
Born in Boston, November 26, 1921 a daughter of the late John and Aznive (Calusdian) Simarrian, she was raised and educated in Millis, and is a 1939 graduate of Millis High School.
Until her retirement some years ago, she worked in the sales department for Marshall’s Department Store for more than 25 years. Prior to that, she worked as a stitcher for the former Herman Shoe Company.
She enjoyed music and singing, was an avid reader, and loved gardening. She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, where she was an active participant.
She is survived by her son, Craig Roberts of Franklin with whom she lived, five sisters, Virginia Walsh of Franklin, Mary Simarrian of Millis, Beatrice Savignano of Needham, Alice Monahan of Norwood, Dolores Gervasi of Franklin, and many nieces and nephews.
She is also the sister of the late Helena Cunningham of Franklin who died in January.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday Dec. 14th, at 11AM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, (www.oterifuneralhome.com).
Interment will follow in Union Street Cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday from 10-11AM at the funeral home.
