SPENCER: Edith E. (Cook) Gobeille,92, of 30 Lake Ave., died Friday, Dec. 11 at The Odd Fellows Home in Worcester.
She was the wife of Rudolph Gobeille who died in 1975. She leaves a daughter Carol A. Poehler of LasCruces, NM, four grandchildren Debra Freitas of Modesto, Calif., Christine Burhans of Worcester, Michelle Steuterman of LasCruces, NM., and Sean Mulcahy of Alaska, three great grandchildren Ricky, Heather and Steven and three great great grandchildren Joshua, Jacob and Nevaeh, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gobeille was a longtime cashier at the former First National Stores in Worcester before retiring many years ago. She was a former member of St. Aloysius-St. Jude Parish in Leicester..
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of William C. and Annie (Hanks) Cook.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m.,Thursday, Dec.17 in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
