Elizabeth A. (Aylward) Heuklom, 75, a resident of Medway for over 50 years, passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of Raymond Heuklom who died in 1964.
Born in Wrentham on December 10, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Mullen) Aylward. Elizabeth “Bette A” grew up in Medfield and was a graduate of the class of 1952.
Bette A worked for New York Life before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, loved time spent in New Hampshire and York Beach, Maine and working in her garden.
Bette A was a huge Elvis fan, but most of all, she loved time spent with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen A. Hennessy and her husband Robert of Blackstone and Karen M. Roberts and her husband Oliver of Claremont, NH and a son, Kevin R. Heuklom of Medway.
She is also survived by a brother, Charles Aylward of Melrose, three sisters, Dorothy Aylward of Medfield, Claire Hutchins of Blackstone and Mary Sweeney of New Hampshire and her sister-in-law, Vonnie Clark and her husband John of Medway. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and many good friends.
She was predeceased by her siblings Catherine Stewart, Thomas Aylward Jr., Helen Matthews and Virginia Leon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday, December 15 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m.
