Obituary

Thomas J. Condrad of Blakely died Wednesday at Mercy Hospital. He is survived by his wife, the former Bernice Dunback.

Born July 5, 1941, in Scranton, son of the late Andrew and Alice Rudelavage Condrad, he was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Olyphant, where he served as an altar boy. He was a 1959 graduate of Blakely High School. He served proudly in the Air Force, which led him to a career in simulation engineering. He was employed by Singer Link for 34 years, then for Rockwell Collins until the present. He loved his profession, which took him to Australia, California and Hawaii. He lived for his family. His wife was the love of his life for 44 years.

Surviving are a son, Thomas, at home; a daughter, Charlene Chickey and husband, Ted, Old Forge; two brothers, Andy, New Brunswick, Md.; and Leonard and wife Helen, Eynon; two grandchildren, who were the light of his life, Devin and Kayleigh.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary, and a sister, Rita.

The funeral will be Monday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, Olyphant.

Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
