WENHAM: Robert J. Beaulier, 62, of 26 Larch Lane, died unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, December 9, 2009.
Born in Ipswich on December 16, 1946, he was the son of Albert J. and Betty A. (Melvin) Beaulier. He was a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1965.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was schooled in marine engine maintenance and served in a gunboat on the Mekong Delta River. He was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal and was honorably discharged in January of 1972.
Bob had worked for many years as a commercial clam digger. He was an avid sportsman having enjoyed many fishing and hunting trips along with his son, Richie, who died in 2004.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and James Albertson of Gloucester, a niece, Michelle, wife of Darrell Gonyea of Rowley, and a nephew, Brian Albertson, fiancé of Nancy Stone of Billerica. In addition to his son, Richard “Richie” Beaulier, he was predeceased by his niece, Heather Albertson.
Services will be held privately by the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
