Muriel A. (Foran) Scanga, of Norwood, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away on December 7, 2009. She was 74 years old.
Born and raised in West Roxbury, Muriel was a 1953 graduate of Roslindale High School. In the late 1950's Muriel relocated to New York City. She worked extensively in various theatre productions both in New York and around the United States throughout the 1960's. Muriel appeared on the Mitch Miller television show in the late 1950's.
Muriel was the dear and devoted wife of the late Richard Scanga. Mother of Jennifer Roberts and her husband Jamie of Norton. Sister of Bonnie A. Hanes and her husband Robert of West Roxbury. She is also survived by her grandchildren Katie and Samantha Folan, and step-grandson, Jakob Roberts.
Funeral services were private.
