Jennifer Ruth (Price) Hartwell, age 36, of Franklin died unexpectedly on December 3, 2009 in Foster, Rhode Island. Jennifer was born to James and Janice (Gray) Price on January 1, 1973 at the Elmendorf Air Force Base Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. As part of an Army family, she traveled in her younger years living in Alaska, Atlanta, GA; Orleans, Ma; Augusta, GA; West Point, NY; Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Lorton VA; Andover, MA and Burke,VA. In 1989 she moved with her family to Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School in 1991.
Upon graduation she worked in several administrative jobs with Donegan Systems in Milford and then Coach & Carriage Auto Body in Natick. She then pursued a career in the restaurant business and attended Johnson and Wales University for three semesters while working at the Bertucci’s in Holliston. She went on to several restaurants including the Bertucci’s in Andover and Berkley Grille, R-Place and Wellesley Inn.
From June 2001 to June 2003, she was the house manager for Hunt Enterprises in Cambridge.
Jennifer will be remembered as a loving person who enjoyed fishing, painting, cooking and always cared more for others than herself.
Jennifer is survived by her daughter, Amber Lynn Price, age 18 of Franklin; her parents James and Janice (Gray) Price of Franklin; her brother, Jason Price, her sister-in-law Jacqueline Price and niece Lily Price of North Attleboro; her grandfather Howard Gray of Brewster and an extended family that includes 8 aunts, 9 uncles, and 13 cousins.
She is also survived by her ex husband Gerald Hartwell of Natick and long time companion Dennis Drake of Scituate, RI
Her family extends a sincere thank you to all the people who have helped Jennifer over the years.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday December 11 in the Franklin United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation will be in the Church on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Since Veterans causes had become very important to her recently, the family wishes that donations be made in her name to a Veterans support organization of your choice.
