Muriel Y. Berry, 80 of 300 Privilege St. died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Berry Jr. Mrs. Berry was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Alfred and Evelina (Thibeault) Lemay. She worked as a mender for most of her life at several area textile mills including Lafond Weavers in Manville from where she retired fifteen years ago. She was a member of St. Joseph Sr. Citizens, St. Agatha's Sr. Citizens, and the Waterview Association.
Mrs. Berry is survived by a son Edward Berry III and his wife Denise, of Cumberland, a daughter Ann Casey and her husband Bill, of N. Providence, four grandchildren, David Berry, William "BJ", Ryan, and Melissa Casey, two brothers, Ricard Lemay of Woonsocket, and Normand Lemay of Pawtucket. She was also the grandmother of the late Michael Berry and sister of the late Lucille Lefebvre, and Pauline Braff.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8 PM.
