Claire (Barrette) Levreault 76, died Sunday in RI Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Edgar Levreault. Mrs. Levreault was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Alphonse, and Bernadette (Letendre) Barrette, and was a lifelong city resident. She was a cook's helper in the Cumberland and Woonsocket school systems as well as a sexton for All Saints Church and the former St. Louis Church. Mrs. Levreault was a longtime parishioner of St. Louis and volunteered as a eucharistic minister, acolyte, and bingo worker. She was also the Indian mascot for the WHS marching band during the Autumnfest Parade for many years. She was an avid bowler and card player. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons; Gerard, Paul, and Normand Levreault all of Woonsocket, and John Paul Levreault of Fall River MA, two daughters; Joanne Choquette of Woonsocket, and Lise-Anne Trudeau of Bellingham, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was also sister of Rene Barrette of North Providence, Roger Barrette of Woonsocket, Arthur Barrette of North Providence, and Lucille Ricci of Lincoln. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in All Saints Church. Interment will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours will be Wednesday evening from 5-8PM.
