Ivey Lee Brady, 95, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, December 5, 2009, at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Monday, December 7, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Brady was born November 11, 1914 in Dodge County, Georgia to the late Martin and Margaret Arnold Brady. He was a farmer and logger and lived most of his life in the community. A member of the Fitzgerald Church of God, Mr. Brady served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Mr. Brady is survived by his children and their spouses: Virginia & Richard Cox of Fitzgerald, James & Kelly Brady of Wilcox County, and Ralph & Sandy Cobb of Fitzgerald; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Susie Cobb Brady and one sister: Mollie Matherson.
