Obituary

Theresa M. (Hanrahan) Perry, 85 years of Brockton, died at her home December 3, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Arthur W. Perry. Born, raised and educated in South Boston, daughter of the late Phillip L. and Esther (Greenlaw) Hanrahan. Theresa had been a resident of Brockton for over 50 years and had been employed by local shoe factories in Brockton and Bradlees Warehouse in Braintree for many years. For over 70 years she was close friends with a group of women who called themselves “Club” which originated in her youth in South Boston. She enjoyed bingo, trips to Foxwoods, crafts and sewing.

She was the mother of Arthur J. Perry and his wife Cindy of Taunton, Denise M. Gilbert and her husband David of Taunton, Patricia A. Wilbur and her husband Bruce of Assonet, Linda A. Briggs and her husband Philip of Brockton and the late Phyllis L. Perry. She is also survived by nine grandchildren 15 great grandchildren, a niece and four nephews. She was the sister of the late James Hanrahan, Helen Travis and Mary Hanrahan.

Visiting Hours will be held Sunday 2-5pm in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton. Funeral from the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30am. Funeral mass in St. Ann’s Church, W. Bridgewater at 10:30am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations in Theresa’s name may be made to Hospice of Boston and Greater Brockton, 500 Belmont Street, Ste 215, Brockton, MA 02301.
