Mr. Norberto Soares, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 3 in the Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston. He was the beloved husband of Aurelia (Alves) Soares. He was born 77 years ago in St. Michael’s, Azores, the son of the late Gil and Isabel (Braga) Soares. He was educated in St. Michael’s and had been a Taunton resident since 1967. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a machine operator for Modern Plastics in Taunton for 20 years. Mr. Soares had also been a self-employed professional photographer for a number of years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Austin. He was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in Taunton.
In addition to his wife, he leaves:
1 son: Paul Soares, and his wife, Jacqueline of Raynham
1 grandson: Austin Soares of Raynham
several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, December 7 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M
