Mabel Lewellen Hewitt Beems, 91, Clarksville, died Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The remains are to be cremated. No services are planned. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born January 30, 1918 in Montgomery County daughter of the late George Lewellen and Mattie Poole Lewellen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Beems. She was a retired pharmacy assistant and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Kissimee, FL, the Eastern Star, and AARP. Survivors include two daughters, Reba G. Ford (Neil), and Cheryl A. Hewitt both of Ashland City TN: two brothers, Ojeeg Lewellen, Taylor, Michigan and Lester Lewellen, Clarksville; two sisters, Idella Polk, Beaumont, TX and Jewel Bryant, Eastpoint, Michigan.
