Gilford-----Kevin A. DeForge, 44, of 343 Old Lakeshore Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Tuesday, December 1, 2009.
Kevin was born March 18, 1965 in Laconia, the son of Betty Lee (Hilliard) and Kenneth A. DeForge, Sr. He lived in Franklin for several years before moving to Gilford 4-5 years ago. Kevin was employed by the Town of Tilton for over twenty years and had also worked at Aavid Engineering.
Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and tinkering on cars.
Kevin was a loving father. He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Hughes of Texas and Maggie Hughes of Laconia; a son, Isiah Hughes, of Laconia; two sisters, Carol A. Nadeau of Laconia and Linda A. Trefrey of Gilford; two brothers, Michael J. DeForge of Laconia and Gerald J. Martel, Jr. of Manchester; an uncle, John DeForge, of Belmont; an aunt, Jeannette Caron, of Arizona and many cousins. In addition to his parents, Kevin was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth A. DeForge, Jr, in 2006 and by a sister, Kathy A. Wells, in 2001.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 2:00-4:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. Following the calling hours, family and friends are invited to Carol Nadeau’s (Kevin’s sister) home at 80 Morrill Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Graveside Service will be held at the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, N.H. on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Wilkinson-Beane Inc., 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
